Cool text symbols — copy & paste stars, hearts, arrows, dividers and text faces
If fancy fonts are the outfit, symbols are the jewellery. A single ★ before a name, a ✦ divider between bio lines, or a ꧁༺ frame around a game name changes plain text into a designed look — and every symbol below is an ordinary Unicode character, just like the styled letters from our generator. That means they copy, paste and travel anywhere text goes: Instagram bios, WhatsApp names and statuses, TikTok, Discord and most games. Tap or click any symbol on this page to copy it (on this page the tap copies just that symbol; dividers and text faces copy as a whole). Below the collections you will find ready-made dividers and simple recipes for combining symbols with fancy fonts.
Stars & sparkles
The most-used decoration family of all. One star bookending a heading is classic; the four-point sparkles (✦ ✧) give a softer, aesthetic feel.
★☆✦✧✩✪✫✬✭✮✯✰✶✷✸✹✺❂
Hearts, flowers & music
For bios, statuses and anything warm. Note that ❤ and a few others may appear as a colourful emoji on some phones instead of a plain symbol — preview before you commit.
❤♥♡❥❣✿❀❁✾♪♫♬♩
Arrows & pointers
Arrows earn their keep in captions and link-in-bio lines ("new video ⬇"), in lists, and as quiet decoration between words.

Crowns, chess & sky
The royalty shelf: crowns and chess pieces for rankings, winners and clan leaders; suns, moons and weather marks for statuses and aesthetic bios.
♔♕♖♗♘♙♚♛♜♝♞♟☀☁☂☃❄⚡☾☽✈⚑
Marks, ticks & extras
Useful little workhorses: ticks for lists and "verified-style" emphasis, crosses, bullets and the circled numbers people use for steps and rankings.

Dividers & borders — copy the whole line
Dividers separate the sections of a bio or a long status so it reads like a designed page instead of a wall of text. Each line below copies as one piece; paste it between two lines of text. The frame pieces at the end are for wrapping a single name — see the recipes underneath.

Text faces (kaomoji)
Faces built from punctuation and letters — older than emoji and still everywhere, because they paste into places emoji cannot go, like names and titles. Tap one to copy it whole:

How to combine symbols with fancy fonts
Symbols work best as a frame or an accent around styled text — the letters carry the meaning, the symbols carry the mood. Four reliable recipes:
- Frame a game name: ꧁༺ 𝔙𝔦𝔭𝔢𝔯 ༻꧂ — gothic letters inside the winged frame. More finished names like this live in our gaming names guide.
- Bookend a heading: ★ 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 ★ — one matching symbol on each side of a bold line makes a tidy title in a chat or caption.
- Divide a bio: put a divider line between sections, like this:

The divider does the decorating; the words stay plain and readable. - Crown a winner: ♔ 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓰 or ♛ 𝒬𝓊ℯℯ𝓃 — a single chess piece in front of a script name reads instantly as "royalty".
Two habits keep combinations looking designed rather than noisy: use one symbol family per design (stars or hearts or crowns, not all three), and match the mood — flowers with script, crowns with bold script, sparkles with bubble letters. If you are styling an Instagram profile specifically, our Instagram fonts guide shows where each piece belongs.
Good to know before you paste everywhere
- Username fields often refuse symbols. Bios, display names, statuses, captions and messages accept them happily; the @username itself usually does not — that is the app's rule, not a fault in the symbol.
- Some symbols become emoji on phones. ❤, ⚡ and ☀ frequently render as colour emoji on mobile. If you want the flat text look, preview on your own phone first.
- Every symbol counts. Toward name and bio character limits, each symbol is at least one character, and a few count as two — another reason to decorate lightly.
- Keep meaning out of the decorations. Screen readers may read symbols aloud one by one, so never hide essential information (prices, dates, contact details) between ornaments.
Quick answers
Are these symbols free to copy and use? Yes. They are standard Unicode characters — the same system your keyboard uses — so you can copy and use them anywhere without asking anyone.
Why does a symbol show as a box or a question mark? The device viewing it does not have that character in its fonts, which happens most on older phones. Stars, hearts and arrows are the safest; the newest ornaments are the first to fail.
How do I copy a symbol on my phone? On this page, just tap it — it copies automatically. Anywhere else, long-press to select the symbol, then choose Copy, and paste it where you want it.
Can I use these symbols on WhatsApp and Instagram? Yes — names, statuses, bios, captions and messages all accept them. See the WhatsApp fonts guide and the Instagram fonts guide for the best spots in each app.
Now the fun part: open the generator, style your words, then come back here and dress them up.
